Hussein Fakhoury - President & Chief Executive Officer

Hussein founded SCALINX in 2015 as a spin-off of Telecom ParisTech. He has over 16 years of experience in Analog & Mixed-Signal IC design and project management combining industrial development and applied research.

He holds a MSc. degree in Electronics and Microelectronics from ESIEE Paris and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Telecom ParisTech.

He started his career at Philips Semiconductors in 2005 as a CAD engineer. From the end of 2005 to 2008, he was with nSilition, Belgium, as a Mixed-Signal IC designer, working on CMOS A/D converters for low-power wireless transceivers.

From 2008 to 2015, he was a research engineer at Telecom ParisTech, working on high-speed CMOS data converters design with emphasis on wideband Continuous-Time Delta-Sigma Modulators. He led several collaborative projects in the field of IC design and through which he managed several PhD students and post-doctoral students. He is the author or co-author of 18 publications and co-author of 2 patents.

At SCALINX, he is in charge of defining and executing company's vision and overall strategy.

Olivier Charlon, Chief Product Officer

Olivier Charlon joined SCALINX to lead product strategy & development. For over 27 years, he has been successfully building engineering teams and developing disruptive System-on-Chips products. Before joining SCALINX, he spent 5 years at Apple Cupertino, California, leading the Cellular chipset silicon program management team. ​.

He also spent 4 years at Maxim Integrated as an Executive Director of Design where he led design & applications teams for the Core Products business unit. While at Scintera Networks (US start up acquired by Maxim Integrated in 2014), he was Vice President of IC Engineering, taking several generations of the very innovative RF Power Amplifier Linearizers (RFPAL) to volume production over 7 years.​

Subsequently, he became CFO of SAMES (a division of EXEL Industries), where he led growth and restructuring operations, contributing to increasing the group's valuation from €8 million to €183 million in five years. He also led the merger with the WAGON AUTOMOTIVE group, identifying significant synergies and optimizing the profitability of operations.

Before joining Scintera in 2007, he was at Philips Semiconductors/NXP, in Southampton UK and San Jose California, where he held various technical leadership positions. During this time, he led IC design teams in the field of TV and CD/DVD; RF transceivers for CDMA, WLAN and Bluetooth standards; and high-speed ADC’s. He holds twelve patents in the field of semiconductors and wireless communications.

He published multiple articles in major international journals and conferences. He attended Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs en Electrotechnique et Electronique in Paris, and received his MSEE in 1996.

Gilles Riche - Chief Financial Officer

Gilles Riche has over 30 years of experience in finance and management control, including 15 years in financial management and strategic management, mainly in the technology and industrial sectors. A graduate of HEC Paris and INSEAD, he has held several CFO positions, supporting companies of various sizes in their development and financial structuring.

He began his career at Veolia (US Filter) as Head of Reporting and Internal Audit, where he contributed to the financial consolidation of international subsidiaries. He then joined Oxford AUTOMOTIVE as Financial Control Director, overseeing the financial management of several subsidiaries and optimizing costs and investments.​

Subsequently, he became CFO of SAMES (a division of EXEL Industries), where he led growth and restructuring operations, contributing to increasing the group's valuation from €8 million to €183 million in five years. He also led the merger with the WAGON AUTOMOTIVE group, identifying significant synergies and optimizing the profitability of operations.

Gilles Riche then became CFO at Intersec, a software publisher specializing in big data. There, he implemented a financial recovery plan, improving net profit and refinancing the company. He also structured the group's financial strategy, supervised due diligence processes, and supported its international expansion, particularly through the creation of a subsidiary in India.

Alongside his operational responsibilities, Gilles Riche serves as a speaker at HEC Paris, where he shares his expertise in corporate finance and investment. His career allows him to develop a pragmatic and structured approach to financial management, focused on performance and supporting business development.

Patrick Molin - Sales & Marketing Director

Patrick has more than 26 years of successful Sales and Marketing experience in Semiconductor Industry and has developed businesses worldwide for American, European and Asian Companies. He has acquired a multicultural sales experience for ASIC and ASSP markets dedicated to Telecom, Industrial, Mil/Aero and Consumer segments.

After an engineering degree from ESTE / ESIEE, he started his career as ASIC Design Center Manager for National Semiconductor Europe with main activity on Telecom and Mil/Aero markets. Then he managed the ASIC business pre-sales activity.

Since 1990, he held various Sales and Marketing management positions for Alcatel and Lucent Microelectronics in charge of ASIC and ASSP. He developed Large Account relationships growing revenue from zero to US$100’s millions per year.
Lately Patrick joined Stepmind start-up to head the company Wireless Lan product line and managed Worldwide Sales and Marketing. His responsibility covered product definition, development and project management.
After the acquisition of Stepmind by Mstar – Mediatek, Patrick was South Europe Sales for Wireless Lan, Cellular and Set-Top-Box product lines. He was also in charge of Business Development He defined sales strategy and partnerships to offer complete solution and provide full support to targeted customers in US, India, Africa and Asia.

At SCALINX, he is in charge of Worldwide sales, Marketing and Applications.

Luan Le - Chief Technical Officer

Luan Le has 26 years of Integrated Circuit development, patent monetization and strategy experience in the Semiconductor Industry.

He has acquired a broad knowledge in IC design & application, silicon process, project management and patent related matters.

He started his career in 1994 at Philips Semiconductors in Caen, France as an analog design engineer for HDD Read/Write pre-amplifiers. Next, he supervised IC development teams for RF transceiver and NFC products for more than 10 years, contributing to the development of complex integrated RF transceivers for mobile phone and the highly successful NXP NFC controller family. In 2010, he moved to an IC and system architecture role, driving the development of high voltage and high power drivers for LED backlighting and LED retrofit lamps. From 2015 to 2018, he became subject matter expert for patent monetization and led patent strategy and portfolio development for a major business unit of NXP. In this role, he also contributed to patent assertion defensive matters.

He is author of several ISSCC and ESSCIRC papers and holds eight patents and five pending patent applications in the field of HDD pre-amplifier, RF transceiver, ESD protection, Near Field Communication and LED driver.

At SCALINX, he is in charge of all IC design Research and Development activities and IP strategy.

Stéphane Guez – Director of Engineering

Stéphane Guez has acquired an outstanding knowledge and experience working in the semiconductor industry with 23 years dedicated to Digital System On Chip development and 7 years in the Oil and Gas industry as Electronic Components Quality Manager.

He started his career in 1994 at ALCATEL CIT in Lannion, France as digital design engineer for SDH ASIC application.

In 2005, at STMicroelectronics, he was responsible of the first produced SoC (HSDPA 3G Digital Base Band, 90nm, low power process and around 90 million of transistors) for a new telecom key customer. This program belonged to the company top 5 strategic ones. At the end, it was a real industrial & business success with more than 80 million devices manufactured & sold.

From 2017 to 2023, Stéphane managed several IC departments in charge of complex digital ASIC/FPGA design for NOKIA 5G antenna and ATOS High Performing Computer applications.

At SCALINX, he is in charge of leading the engineering department from hiring and training new team members to managing technical IC projects. He also oversee product engineering operations and ensure that proper engineering procedures are followed.
