Job function SCALINX’s design team is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated senior mixed-signal IC design engineer to drive the design of an innovative analog front-end IC. The candidate will be particularly involved in the architecture definition, design and test of the analog IC front-end in close collaboration with the IC design team.

Work description 

  • Translate client requirements into IC specifications
  • Definition of the IC architecture
  • System-level modeling and simulation of the IC sub-blocks
  • Transistor-level design, simulation and layout of the IC sub-blocks in CMOS process
  • Test the fabricated IC prototype in our measurement lab
  • Writing a qualification plan
  • Work with test engineers to implement an ATE solution that provides functional and parametric coverage
  • Manage the design team to design a state-of-the-art IC
  • Participate to design reviews
  • Write documentation

Qualification and Experience

  • You have at least ten years of experience in the semiconductor industry
  • You have developed or participated to the development of an IC product from specifications to mass production
  • You have a proven track record in the design and characterization of  mixed-signal functions (ADC/DAC), and/or analog functions, and/or RF blocks
  • You have a solid background and knowledge in semiconductor physics, biasing and reference circuits, switched-cap and continuous-time circuits, feedback systems and compensation techniques, signal conditioning, analog and digital signal processing
  • You demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of taking high-level specifications and turning them into the required transistor-level design
  • Perfect knowledge of the Cadence or Mentor mixed-signal IC design flow is necessary
  • Familiarity with behavioral modeling in Verilog-A or MATLAB is necessary
  • A previous experience in the design of ADC/DAC functions is necessary
  • You have the ability to manage people so they give the best of themselves
  • You are a team player with a critical attitude and a sense of initiative
  • You are a professional who can deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
