Job function We are looking for an experienced and passionate Silicon Application Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will act as the technical bridge between our silicon design team and customers, ensuring that our silicon products are successfully integrated into various customer applications. You will work closely with customers to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the performance of our silicon solutions in real-world use cases. This is a critical role that combines technical expertise with customer-facing interactions to help drive the adoption of cutting-edge technology.

  • A proven track record in the integration/support of several complex high-speed/RF mixed-signal IC products into customer solutions
  • Excellent RF/systems technical skills
  • Able to generate high quality technical collateral

Work description 

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, providing support during the integration and implementation of silicon products into their systems
  • Work closely with customers to understand their application requirements, system-level design challenges, and provide customized solutions using our silicon products.
  • Assist with the debugging, optimization, and validation of silicon performance in customer applications, ensuring smooth deployment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including design, validation, and marketing, to provide feedback on customer needs and inform future product development.
  • Develop technical documentation, application notes, and reference designs to help customers integrate our products more effectively.
  • Conduct technical training, workshops, and seminars for customers and partners to demonstrate the value of our silicon solutions.
  • Support the development of evaluation kits, reference boards, and software tools for customers to use in product development.
  • Travel to customer sites for design reviews, system bring-up, and troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors to provide insights into product improvement and new opportunities.

Qualification and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in high frequency/RF silicon validation, semiconductor testing, or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of silicon products, including digital and mixed-signal ICs, microcontrollers, or system-on-chips (SoCs).
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies for debugging and testing.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug hardware and software issues at the system level.
  • Familiarity with software development tools, embedded systems, and hardware design principles.
  • Knowledge of high-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet), RF systems, or power management solutions.
  • Experience working with evaluation kits, software development kits (SDKs), GUIs and firmware development.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and PCB layout best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers with varying technical backgrounds (English required).
  • Experience creating customer collateral such as technical documentation, application notes, and reference designs.
