SoC Architect (W/M)

Job function

SCALINX is seeking a passionate SoC Architect to join our dynamic engineering team.
In this role, you will be responsible for writing System and sub-Systems architecture specifications covering product requirements of SCALINX's next generations Mixed-Signal SoC.
You will collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders including Customer, Product, Innovation, Engineering and Industrialization teams to identify optimal architecture solutions balancing product and market requirements, HW / SW efforts and cost-efficient solutions meeting time to market constraints.

Work description 

• Be the owner of Mixed-signal SoC architecture definition
• Describe product specifications in relationship with Marketing Team, Product Team and Customer
• Specify System, SW, HW, Performances, Area, Power and Security requirements
• Identify and select most suitable 3rd party IPs covering the product requirements
• Perform SoC Behavioral, Functional and Performance modeling to identify the key architectural parameters
• Perform Area, Power and performances optimizations using simulation and modeling
• Collaborate with cross functional teams working on RTL design, DFT, Design Verification, Firmware/Software development, Pre-Post silicon validation and Program Management to deliver first time right silicon on an aggressive schedule.
• Manage Requirement Traceability demonstrating full coverage is provided
• Provide specifications of micro-architecture for custom IPs
• Be the owner of the chip security strategy

Qualification and Experience 

• • B.Sc./M.Sc.in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 10 years of experience in a senior development and/or leadership position within semiconductor industry
  • Proactive technical leadership matching startup mindset
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent analysis and synthesis skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence at all levels, across all engineering and business organization
  • Ability to work on projects with aggressive schedules
  • Ability to work effectively with a team located on-site and off-site
  • Experience and deep knowledge of SoC architecture including standard peripherals such as microprocessors architecture, memory sub-systems, on-chip interconnection networks, hardware/software partitioning...
  • Experience with External high-speed and low-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, (LP)DDR…
  • Experience with SoC Security
  • Experience with Mixed-signal silicon process.
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing using Matlab or Python

Nice to have

• Jama / Requirement Traceability tool experience is a plus
• ARM ecosystem experience is a plus
• Real-Time Operating systems is a plus
• High-speed I/O (PCIe, LPDDR, Ethernet…) experience is a plus
• Network on Chip (NoC) experience is a plus
• 5G/6G network experience is a plus
• Safety, Reliability, high-resilience/high-availability system experience is a plus
• Proven track record of timely specification delivery of multiple sophisticated projects in parallel is a plus
